Happy Halloween!

So I'm going to start off my saying....HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!! :D
Hope everybody had a fantastic day and night, I know we did :P hehe

For those of you who have little ones, I hope they looked beyond adorable today in their little costumes. We were walking around from house-to-house with the kids trick-or-treating and the amount of little babies and toddlers in their cute little costumes were adorable beyond words <3 I even landed up telling my parents I will have a baby just to dress them up all cute! :D haha...my daddy wasn't too impressed about that comment LOL but what dad would??

While we were going house-to-house, we came across this mommy and her sweet little super hero who was too scared to go and knock on the door to ask for candy, but the minute my mom offered for me to go with him, his sweet little face just lit up and he ran to take my hand immediately! <3 It was the best feeling having that tiny hand in mine <3 hehe (I think I am officially going crazy)

So that is what I looked like today, I am not even going to tell you what a mission it was to do this make up and to get it just right! #girlproblems

I also managed to do my cousin Jasmine's hair and make up too, and I won't lie I did a pretty good job :D I think those hair and beauty courses are in my path ;) LOL

So this is my gorgeous cousin. Hair and make up done by yours truly :P hehe, I am actually really proud of myself and think I should start doing this more often, but with Jasmine as my dummy :D LOL! <3

More pictures will be posted as soon as I get them from my Tia, but you will all probably see them on her blog first :D

Hope everyone had  SPOOKY Halloween!!

God Bless and keep you always! <3

Lola's Day

So this is what I have been doing all day while the others play games and chill LOL I have Portfolios coming out of nowhere and I am really not impressed, but I guess I should try and enjoy it since it is my last year of school!! WOO-HOO!!

I'm probably going to regret saying that once I'm out LOL but for now, let's just keep it at WOO-HOO!!

You probably wondering if I'm going to college when I'm out of high school...well the answer is no. I am planning on taking either Hair and Beauty courses or go into Fitness training and later on become a fitness instructor. The reason I chose these two specific things is because I think it would be quite fun to work with hair and nails and all that fun stuff ;) I am a real girly girl and I think that would fit me best, but then I get fitness training thrown into my plate as well and I honestly think that is something I would really enjoy. Since I have been dancing for 13-14 years, I would think that that is what I want to do. I love the pain you feel in the morning after a good work out, always have loved that feeling and now that I have stopped dancing I have to try and do my own thing to keep this little body in shape!

So those are my plans for the future, prayers that they work out! :D

Look at who decided to bug me for treats today! <3
Little Lola is just the funniest little dog, if you crunch paper or something that sounds like food you don't even have to turn your head for you to know she is there. I just had to give a treat to that little face...come on...how can you not??

Tomorrow is Halloween and I am super excited to get my cat on! There is no school tomorrow, but for me (obviously) there will be LOL, but I will do what I can tonight and tomorrow morning so that I have the weekend all to myself. This weekend is going to be busy, but it's going to be a family weekend and I could not be more excited, honestly don't remember when last we went out as a WHOLE family (my Tia will know what I mean LOL)

Well it was nice popping in and reading everybody's wonderful comments on my posts, you guys make me extremely excited and happy and I honestly can not wait for this blog to really take off. I would not be able to do this without you wonderful angels! <3

Have a Blessed Thursday further everyone!!
God Bless and keep you always <3

Wonderful Wednesday

Good evening everybody! <3

Hope you all had a fantastic Wednesday, if not, always look up to God and thank him that you are here, alive, and healthy! Know that you have a purpose on this Earth and you are truly a blessing in everybody's lives <3

So I am quite proud of myself tonight...I made a yummy dinner for my family and it came out AMAZING!! If you follow my Tia Sandra's blog you would have seen that she posted not only this blog, but my cooking blog as well. I am doing a cooking blog for my senior project at school and I must say, it is scary trying new things, but also very exciting! :D

So as I was saying, I made dinner tonight and look at how it came out...

I am really proud of myself and I know I have said that a million times by now LOL but I just can't help it :D One of these days I am going to try and make some Portuguese rolls, I am half Portuguese and thought it would be something awesome to learn and make maybe every second weekend.

I don't know about you awesome people, but I am freezing my booty off!! It has gotten so cold, so fast it's actually ridiculous although the only thing that brings a smile to my face are the beautiful Fall Colors <3. The tree outside my Tia's house is BRIGHT red and it looks stunning! On Saturday when we were all on our way to the Linder Farms, we drove past wide open spaces next to the highway and all the trees were a splash of yellow, orange, green, and red! It was stunning.

I honestly love Fall and I'm sure all of you do too <3
Keep warm!!
Have a wonderful evening/day everyone and may God Bless you and keep you always! <3

Hmmm....Monday?

Well it is Monday once again and it wasn't exactly a good one x_x I hope nobody else had the same Monday I did, but if you did then how about a little prayer:

Dear Lord Father,
Thank you for the day that you have blessed us with,
even though it wasn't the best,
we just want to thank you for waking us up this morning,
healthy and alive!

In Jesus precious name,
Amen

Hope that made everyone feel better, I know it made me feel better! <3

So, as horrible as my Monday was, I realized that the Lord has blessed me with amazing people to help me get through my day and put a smile on my face. I thank God everyday for those amazing people because without them, I honestly don't know where I would be.

But enough of that now, I don't want to be sappy and sad anymore, it's time to put a smile on and stand tall!

As far as everybody is concerned, Halloween is coming up, my cousins and brother are extremely excited and I am too because I just get to dress up into something cool and make myself look amazing. This year, I am going as like a biker cat woman LOL I know, you probably thinking I'm crazy, but what the heck?! hehe...my cousin Jasmine is going as a Bunny, my other cousin Nicholas is going as a super hero, and my annoying little brother Colby is going as a very creepy looking clown, and when I say creepy....we mean keep-the-mask-in-the-closet creepy!

I hope all of you are looking forward to Halloween too!!

Well now with that all said, I think it's time for bed. I am always looking forward to bedtime now because it's starting to get cold and I just love snuggling up in bed with my little Doxin, Jax <3

Have a great day/night everyone and God Bless you and keep you always!!

Life In The USA

If any of you follow or read Sandra Bourland's blog, before any of you think I am stealing her pictures just know that she is my aunt and I am aware that they are hers. She has given me permission to use or should I say share her pictures since we are family and....well....we know each other LOL!

So as you all know, we are now living in the States with my Tia Sandra, my uncle Curtis and my cousins Jasmine and Nicholas.  They are the only family we have here and I have to say even though we live in a quiet little town, we really know how to pump up the party  ;) There is never a dull moment with my family and there have been a few times that we have bumped heads (ask my Tia, She'll tell you ;)) but most of the time its fun convos, long laughs, and great memories.

You would think that cousins bonding after many years of not seeing each other would be difficult, but we spoke and acted like we had been living together our whole lives. My cousin Jasmine and I could practically call each other sisters with how close we are. We can trust each other with secrets and personal stuff and not worry about the other ratting. We are very naughty and mischievous, but I'm pretty sure all young girls are. The talks about me driving her places once I get my car, laughing at stupid things that don't make sense, and my favorite, laughing at each other when we either get hurt or fall LOL. We are crazy, but we know how to have fun.

Nicholas and I don't really have a bond, but that does not mean I don't love him to death. He knows how to make me smile and can really get a good laugh out of all of us, and the funny thing is...WE HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON!!! We both love salt and vinegar chips, we don't eat bacon....the list can go on so if that can be considered as a bond, then we have a pretty strong bond too :)

My uncle Curtis has recently retired from the military. He worked with the best jets ever ;) The F16's...(talk about a proud niece lol) I also never really had a bond with my uncle until recently when we moved here. He and my Tia (in case any of you were wondering, I call her Tia because that means "aunt" in Portuguese") were involved in a long distance relationship and a year later got married. I was barely two years old at the time and had a very strong bond with my Tia, strong as in she could be my second mother. After they got married Tia left for the States with my uncle and I never understood where she was or when she would be back at the time :( when I was old enough to understand, I was angry and upset with my uncle for taking my Tia away from me but once I started growing into a mature young lady, I realized that it was a very unique love story and was happy that my uncle could fill my Tia's life with great joy.

Well I have introduced you to my family here in the States, but I have saved my Tia for last. When I was only a year old, I had my Tia and my Bio Odete (Bio meaning great grandmother in Portuguese) look after me while my parents were at work. I created a very special bond with them both and especially my Tia, growing up to think she was like my second mommy. No-one will ever replace my mom, but the love I have for my Tia is very close to the love I have for my mother. Like I mentioned just now, when Tia left I was too young to understand where she was or when she would be back, I would still walk into her bedroom every morning with my baby bottle in hand and say "good morning Tia" and there was no answer for that morning, and the morning after that, and the morning after that. When I was a little bit older, I realized my Tia was never coming back and that broke me....because I was so close to her it always felt like something was missing. I was grateful to have had my great grandmother still, but I wanted my Tia there too.

Tia has missed most of my childhood, my birthdays, my dance competitions...just about everything that has happened in my life. Now that I am here we can share all those things, I have already shared my 17th birthday with my family here and that was amazing and also different in a way LOL but now I am turning 18, and for some reason this birthday means a lot more to me than the rest not only because I am becoming an adult but also because I get to spend this special occasion with my family and most importantly my Tia <3 We now have the chance to catch up all of those years in a different kind of way <3

Well there you have it. You have now met my crazy family here in the United States!!

Let's Start With A Little Introduction :)

Decided to start this blog to put down all my feelings and emotions and my adventures as a teenager entering the life of adulthood. This is my first time so let's see how this goes :)

I was born and raised in South Africa, my mom is South African and my dad is Portuguese. I won't lie, growing up in South Africa wasn't easy for both my brother and myself and especially in that country, not to say that I don't love my country but with the constant worrying about locking our doors tight and living behind high walls and electric fences, I don't know about you but that is no way to live. The crime rate in that country is extremely high and everywhere you look there will always be someone getting robbed or hijacked or just getting beat up. It's actually sad that I have to see my country like that :(.....On the upside, South Africa hasn't lost its beauty or its culture, I can still hear and feel the sound of those African drums pounding and not to mention hearing the thundering roar of the fierce African Lion <3 I am a major animal lover and realizing all the wonderful animals we have, just makes me say that I am proud to be a South African <3

I am a dancer, well was a dancer, but still like to think of myself as one. I started dancing at the age of 4 and have only stopped this year (once you start reading my blog more, you will find the reason why). I did modern and hip hop and I loved every minute of it. I have been competing for years and not once did I hate being on that stage to me it was like my second home, like I belonged up there, and I won't lie, but I do miss that feeling. Dancing will always be a part of me and I believe strongly in my heart that if I was meant to carry on with my dancing career, something bigger and better will open up sometime in my life. I am only turning 18 and already my dream of becoming a dancer and performer has already come true! <3

Now that one dream is down, I am well underway with my next one which to become a horse rider. I can not tell you just how long I have been waiting to ride a horse and be able to forget everything and focus on just me, the fresh air and the beautiful animal I am riding. I have been in love with horses I'm sure even before I could walk, my mom still reminds me of how I used to use my building blocks as hooves and run around the house on all fours, apparently I even sounded like a horse and made everybody believe that I was either a horse in my previous life or my spirit animal is a horse....either way, I have horses written all over my heart <3 So if any of you that know a little something something about horses, I would really love for some advice and more information about those amazing animals....I think I know a lot but I'm pretty sure I don't LOL

So now that you know a little bit about me I do want to share that we have immigrated to the States over a year ago now, for a better life and a fresh start! I am excited and ready to tackle every obstacle that life throws my way. This was a big step then and is still a big step now! <3

It's late now so maybe a good nights sleep will do me some good, I am really excited about this blog and please don't be shy to comment or introduce yourselves <3

Have a great day/night everyone and God Bless you and keep you always! <3

The "Three-nager" Stage

Good morning friends!  Hope y'all had a good Monday and start to the week! I was able to get a good nights sleep last night and Eva did ...
